Anubis is god of death, afterlife, and care of the dead. He was born to Osiris (God of the afterlife) and either Nephthys (Goddess of mourning) or Isis.
Anubis is depicted as a man with the head of a jackal. This head forms from the history of Jackals running between Pyramids looking to scavenge. Anubis however is also known to protect pyramid tombs, cemeteries, and Embalming.
He has a strong sense of order and justice, as well as being fair and protective of those he loves and cared for. Anubis protects the dead, and escorts the deceased to the after life. He is also known for resurrection and protection from curses.
Anubis Symbols are Jackals, Jackal heads, Ankh (Symbol of life), a Flail, and a black ribbon. His color correspondence is Black. Black represents rebirth, Regeneration, and fertile soil of the nile.
