Couple goals, literally
To me, a soulmate isn’t someone who makes life quieter.
It’s someone who makes life feel electric.
Someone who wants to throw pillows and blankets in the back of a truck, take a back road with no destination, dance in the headlights, then fall asleep tangled together in the truck bed.
Someone who sings with me in the car, turns ordinary moments into memories, and never forgets how to have fun while we’re building a future.
A soulmate would see me- the good, the bad, the ugly, and still choose me. I would see all of them without resentment or hostility but with the understanding that their past helped shape them into who they are.
A soulmate would understand me mentally, emotionally, and sexually.
They would never ask me to dull my sparkle, and I would never ask them to dull theirs.
We’d push each other to grow, chase bigger dreams, love harder, laugh louder, and live fuller.
Not chaos.
Not toxicity.
Just two people setting their worlds on fire in the best possible way.
Reflecting on what it means to have a soulmate, I’ve come to appreciate that it’s about more than just comfort or calmness. True connection feels electric—it’s lively, dynamic, and full of shared experiences that make life vibrant. For instance, embarking on spontaneous adventures, like loading pillows and blankets into the back of a truck and driving down a backroad with no destination, creates unforgettable memories that strengthen the bond. What I've found essential in a soulmate is the ability to truly see each other — not just the highlights but also the flaws, the past experiences, and the scars. Recognizing and accepting each other wholly, without judgment, lays the foundation for deep emotional intimacy. This acceptance sparks growth, pushing both people to become better versions of themselves, while loving each other fiercely. In my experience, a soulmate relationship also involves keeping the fun alive. Singing together in the car or dancing in the headlights reminds us not to take life too seriously and to cherish the present moments. This shared joy replenishes the energy needed to tackle bigger dreams and challenges. Importantly, a true connection respects individuality and personal light. Neither partner should ever feel asked to dim their sparkle. Instead, they should encourage each other’s unique qualities and strengths, fueling mutual empowerment. Finally, this relationship transcends chaos and toxicity. Rather than conflict and stress, it’s about setting both worlds on fire in the best way—through love, laughter, support, and growth. From my own journey, embracing these values transforms a partnership into an extraordinary shared adventure where both people thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically.
