My mother was born in ‘58 and went to a segregated school and when they integrated she heard the teachers and students using the N word like it was nothing. When my mom boarded the school bus a white boy would stick his leg out in front of all the black students and would say “Say ‘excuse me,’ black savage.”
My mom was very young at the time and didnt understand the cruelty of the words so she repeated what he said, only she ended up calling him a black savage too bc she didnt say just “excuse me” she said “excuse me, black savage.”
My brother was IN A CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL back in the early 2000s when the white substitute teacher proposed to select a student to read a chapter or something like that. She started singing “eenie, meenie, my-nee, mo,” until what she said after got her ass fired:
“Catch a n*******er by the toe.”
This was in the early 2000s y’all and the beginning of my oldest brother questioning Christian spaces. Hes now 38/39 years old and borderline agnostic.
