✨Why did I choose to start my business 🫶
When I first started my business, it wasn’t something I had planned for a while to do, let me tell you how I came to start.
I was an assistant store manager, everything was great, I loved it. Then I started getting sick. I went through treatments for Acanthamoeba in my eye for 6+ months, at this time I was out of work Because I couldn’t work with all this going on. Afterwards, my husband thought it’d be a good idea to just stay home for a while, so I did. A year later we had our baby, and now I’m a stay at home mom.
Although I loved everything about being a stay at home mom, I figured I needed to find something to keep me busy, all I did was take care of the baby all day, cook, clean, etc. and I was over it, I needed a hobby, a job, something else to focus my mind on. Then my husband asked me one time, well what do you like to do? And I said, I like to read, and he went “well then do something that has to do with reading”, Boom thats all I needed.
I opened up my bookstore where I made blind date with a book boxes, where I include a bunch of bookish items making it a nice and thoughtful gift. And because I love books, and this gives me a chance to explore more books, sometimes I buy copies for Myself too when I come Across a book I like for my store lol. I love what I do, and I’m glad I get to bring smiles on other fellow book lovers too 🖤
