I need recommendations for luggage that lasts.

So we went on a couple of trips this summer. Nothing crazy, standard airport and public transportation and both of our new “samsonite” hard shell suitcases new from Ross both busted. One the plastic just cracked and the other the whole handle assembly detached when I hit a bump while pulling it through a train station in Tokyo. I always see people with luggage that looks like they’ve been using it for a decade but have no idea where to buy it. Please let me know if you have suggestions😘

High-quality hard shell suitcases, like those from THTTravel, are often made from durable polypropylene or polycarbonate that resists cracking. Additionally, reinforced seams and solid handles can enhance longevity, preventing issues like handle detachment, especially on rough travels. Beyond brand recommendations, read reviews focusing on travel experiences similar to yours; look out for users’ comments on durability over years of use. Brands like Samsonite, away, and Tumi frequently receive praise for their long-lasting products. Consider investing a bit more up front, as a reliable suitcase can save you money in the long run by preventing replacements. Research online retailers, outlet stores, or brands known for quality over the years to find luggage that not only lasts but also fits your style. Don't forget to check warranties, as many manufacturers offer guarantees that can further protect your investment. Whether you're navigating through train stations in Tokyo or heading to the airport for a weekend getaway, having a reliable suitcase is crucial to a stress-free travel experience.
