4 Oscar Voters Skipped ‘Dune: Part Two’
So, the Oscars are supposed to celebrate the ""best"" in film, but let’s talk about the elephant in the room: four Academy voters just admitted they didn’t even watch Dune: Part Two before excluding it from their Best Picture ballots. Seriously?
Back in 2015, THR found nearly 6% of voters didn’t watch all Best Picture nominees but how do you vote on art you haven’t seen? Imagine grading a thesis you only read the SparkNotes for. “Sorry, Denis Villeneuve, your 10/10 cinematic masterpiece got axed because I was too busy rewatching Mrs. Doubtfire.”
Is it laziness? Bias against sci-fi? Or just the Academy’s old habit of prioritizing “prestige” over actual quality? Either way, it’s a disservice to filmmakers and fans. If you’re paid to judge movies, watch the damn movies.

I'm so surprised that Dune part 2 didn't win and he accolades. The cinematography was so unmatched and so beautiful at the same time you forget that it's fictional and you're actually immersed in that world of sand and spies
