What the heck happened?!
Hey everyone, sharing a story that’s equal parts terrifying and baffling. Last week, driving to Niagara Falls, my check engine light started flashing like crazy, then the car just lost all power. luckily, I’d just exited the highway. If I’d been in the fast lane, a rear end collision would’ve been unavoidable.
Right before this, I’d filled up at a gas station, and the pump nozzle stuck for ages when I tried to remove it. Didn’t think much of it at the time, but today my insurance adjuster called and found crystallized sugar at the bottom of my gas tank. How?! My gas cap was locked, no signs of tampering. The only theory could be someone sabotaged the gas pump nozzle by putting sugar inside, so it mixed with my fuel when I filled up.
