Best Keyboard for ergonomics?! Alice Layout

... Read moreWhen I first started looking into custom keyboards, the Alice layout immediately caught my eye. Many of you might be wondering, 'what exactly is an Alice layout keyboard?' Well, it's a unique ergonomic keyboard design characterized by its split and angled key clusters, designed to align more naturally with your hands and wrists. Unlike traditional straight keyboards, the Alice layout aims to reduce wrist strain and promote a more comfortable typing posture. From my personal experience, the shift to an Alice layout keyboard truly felt like an upgrade in comfort. At first, there's definitely a learning curve, especially with the split spacebar – it took me a few days to get used to, but now I can't imagine going back! The benefit of a more natural hand position really shines through during long typing sessions. It effectively addresses the question, 'is Alice layout ergonomic?' For me, the answer is a resounding yes! Beyond just the layout, the customization options for an Alice keyboard are incredible. While my current custom build doesn't have a numpad, it's something many Alice boards offer if you need those extra keys. You also see many 'Alice keyboard aluminum' versions, which offer a premium feel and satisfying weight. Mine features a beautiful 'split design' with 'light-colored keycaps,' which I affectionately call 'Jade Keycaps' because of their soft, almost translucent look. These keycaps not only add to the aesthetic but also contribute to the overall typing feel. One of the coolest features on my board is the integrated 'rotary knob' and a small 'integrated screen' in the upper right corner. The knob is super handy for volume control or scrolling, and the screen can display useful info like time or connection status – little details that make a huge difference in daily use. Choosing the right switches and keycaps allowed me to fine-tune the sound profile to that perfect 'thocky' and 'creamy' blend I adore. If you're on the fence about diving into the world of custom keyboards, especially an Alice layout, I highly recommend it. It's not just a keyboard; it's an investment in comfort and a unique piece of tech that truly enhances your daily interactions.
