Having a son with a different curl pattern than I do can be a learning curve! So far I've not done much for his hair besides use oil and avoid over washing but I'd love some baby sage product recommendations. His hair frizzes in the back at times so I know I need to start using silk pillow cases and possibly add in a leave in conditioner.
Any tips for babies with curly hair would be appreciated!

It's so true, caring for a little one's curly hair can be a delightful but sometimes tricky journey! I totally get the 'learning curve' feeling. When my baby started showing those adorable curls, I was both excited and a little overwhelmed. One thing many new parents wonder about is 'signs of curly hair in babies.' Sometimes it's obvious from birth, but often it develops over the first few months or even into toddlerhood. My little one’s hair seemed pretty straight at first, then started getting this beautiful, soft wave that eventually spiraled into full-blown curls. Don't worry if your 'newborn baby curly hair' isn't super defined yet; it can change a lot! The key, I've learned, is establishing a gentle 'baby curly hair routine'. Your instinct about avoiding over-washing is spot on! We usually stick to washing just 1x/week, sometimes every 10 days if his hair isn't too messy. For 'baby dry hair' and that pesky frizz, moisture is your best friend. After washing, I gently towel dry (never rub!) and apply a tiny bit of argan or coconut oil – just like the 'OUR ROUTiNE' tips I've seen. A wide tooth comb is a lifesaver for detangling without breakage. And yes, a satin or silk pillowcase can make a HUGE difference, especially for those back-of-the-head frizz spots! Finding 'baby-safe product recommendations' can be tough. I’m always on the lookout for gentle, fragrance-free options. A good leave-in conditioner is a game-changer for definition and moisture. I've heard great things about honest co's detangler and shea moisture kids' line. What 'products do you use' that you swear by for your little one's curls? When it comes to 'how to style curly baby hair,' I usually keep it simple: a little leave-in and let them air dry. For toddlers, you might start thinking about a '2 year old curly haircut.' A good stylist who understands curly hair is worth their weight in gold – they can shape it to enhance the curls. And speaking of changes, if you have a 'mixed baby hair texture change' happening, know it's completely normal! Our hair textures can evolve so much, especially in early childhood. The core principle remains: gentle care, moisture, and protection. Ultimately, 'how to care for baby curly hair' is about patience and finding what works for your unique child. Every curly head is different! I'm still learning every day, and I love hearing what works for other parents. So please, drop your 'child hair care routine' and 'baby curly hair care routine' tips below! Let's help each other keep these precious curls healthy and beautiful.
