Pulling up to the store, the vibrant exterior immediately caught my eye. The classic brick building felt so welcoming, and I loved seeing the bright orange and white umbrella shading the inviting outdoor seating area. The Jeni's store sign with its iconic orange lettering just set the perfect mood for a sweet escape.
Stepping inside, the aroma of deliciousness filled the air! My first stop, like any true ice cream lover, was the menu. Jeni's has a truly impressive large black menu board that lists all their incredible ice cream flavors, different sizes, and any special offerings they have. It's a bit like a treasure map, with so many unique combinations to discover. I usually scan for the classics first, then let my eyes wander to the more adventurous options. It's always a tough choice because everything sounds so good!
During this visit, I was torn between a few options. I always recommend trying a sample or two if you're unsure – that's the best way to really commit! After much deliberation, I ended up with a scoop of their Brambleberry Crisp, which is just heavenly with its sweet berries and oat streusel, and a scoop of Salty Caramel, because you can never go wrong with a perfectly balanced salty-sweet. Both were absolutely divine and made my Sunday feel extra special. The glass display case below the menu was filled with even more tempting choices, perfectly scooped and ready to be enjoyed.
Beyond the scoops, I also checked out the "Jeni's Take-Home" section. Those two large glass-door freezers were packed with Jeni's take-home ice cream pints, all neatly arranged in their branded boxes. It's so tempting to grab a few to enjoy later, especially when you find a seasonal flavor you just can't get enough of. It's brilliant for movie nights or just when you need a little pick-me-up at home. The orange sign above the freezers proudly announcing "JENI'S TAKE-HOME" just adds to the charm.
If you're planning your own Jeni's adventure, here's my top tip: don't rush! Take your time to really explore the menu. Their flavors are often seasonal, so there's always something new to try. And if the weather's nice, definitely grab a spot at the outdoor seating under that lovely orange and white umbrella. It just makes the whole experience even better.
My Sunday Funday at Jeni's was a perfect treat, and I'm already dreaming of my next visit to see what other amazing flavors I can discover on their menu. Go treat yourself – you won't regret it!
