While exploring downtown, I noticed the convenient Detroit People Mover and even saw a charming trolley (perhaps like the one I saw around 2:00pm!) that would be perfect for hopping between attractions. After soaking up the game day vibes, I took a leisurely stroll around the area. Detroit has so much rich history and vibrant art right outside the stadium. I was already planning my next visit in my head, thinking about what I'd do if I stayed overnight. Finding a cozy room somewhere central would be key for exploring more. The OCR mentioned times like '5:00pm-12:00am,' which instantly reminded me of how many fantastic spots in Detroit come alive after dark. My day trip ended a bit earlier, but it certainly left me wanting to experience the city's evening charm. For anyone planning a similar trip, my biggest tip is to immerse yourself. Don't just stick to the main attractions. I tried to arrive by late morning, which gave me plenty of time to grab a delicious brunch before heading to the park. And if you’re aiming for that perfect ‘dump’ of memories, don’t just focus on the big landmarks. Capture the little details too—the colorful street art, a unique coffee shop, or even just the interesting architecture you pass by. These candid shots often tell the best story.
