So as of lately there has been a lot of controversy about the Dior lip oil, also some people are saying they wanna sue. And I’m here just to drop some knowledge and tips, we all know the Dior lip products have a plumping ingredients in it. If your lips are turning black it’s because the Dior oil have these ingredients Hydrogenated polyisobutene, polybutene, tridecyl trimellitate. Which In short terms are what causes the burning/ plumping effect, these ingredients are in a lot of plumping lip oils/ and glosses. 9/10 you are allergic to these ingredients. In my opinion I don’t think Dior should be sued in my opinion, because if you are gonna be putting stuff on your lips or any part of your face, you need to research what ingredients you are putting on your face, Dior put the ingredients on the box that the lip oil comes in, plz start researching and stop buying stuff because of the price tag, brand, and viral moments🥰 #dior lip oil#beauty#makeup#viral#fyp

... Read moreHey everyone, let's keep this conversation going about the Dior Lip Glow Oil, especially since so many of you are asking about specific shades like the Black Cherry! I know that deep, luscious shade is super popular, and honestly, the way it looks in the bottle – that rich, almost-black cherry hue – is absolutely stunning. (Just like in the pictures, right? Holding those 'LIP GLOW OIL COLOR REVIVER - CHERRY OIL' bottles, you can really see the allure!) But beyond the aesthetics, there are some really important questions we need to address, especially if you're experiencing any issues.
First, let's circle back to the 'lips turning black' concern. While the original post touched on common plumping agents like Hydrogenated Polyisobutene and Polybutene, it’s worth diving a bit deeper. These ingredients are designed to create a temporary plumping effect, often by mildly irritating the skin to increase blood flow. For most people, this is just a tingle. But if you have particularly sensitive skin, or an underlying allergy, this irritation can manifest as redness, dryness, or even temporary hyperpigmentation, making your lips appear darker or 'black.' It's not necessarily the color staining your lips, but a reaction to the irritants. My advice? Always, always do a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area of your skin before applying any new product directly to your lips or face, especially if you have sensitive skin or a history of allergies. If you feel more than a slight tingle, it might be a sign to stop using it.
Another big question I've seen pop up is, 'Is Dior Lip Oil cruelty-free?' This is a really important ethical consideration for many of us in the beauty community. From my understanding and research, Dior, as a luxury brand, does sell its products in countries where animal testing is still legally required for imported cosmetics. This means that, unfortunately, Dior products, including their popular lip oils, are generally not considered cruelty-free by most standards. If being cruelty-free is a top priority for you, it's definitely something to keep in mind when making your purchasing decisions. There are many fantastic cruelty-free lip oil alternatives out there if this is a deal-breaker for you!
And what about the 'Dior Lip Glow Oil bottle' itself? I personally love the sleek packaging – it feels really luxurious in hand, and the applicator is usually a decent size, allowing for smooth, even application. It’s definitely part of the whole 'Dior experience,' and the design is iconic. However, sometimes with these types of applicators, especially if you're using a tinted oil, it's good practice to wipe off any excess before putting it back in to keep the bottle clean. Just a little tip I've picked up!
Ultimately, whether you're eyeing the Black Cherry shade or any other, the takeaway remains: be an informed consumer. Don't just buy into the hype or the pretty packaging. Read ingredient lists, check reviews from people with similar skin types, and if you're ever in doubt, consult with a dermatologist. Our lips are delicate, and they deserve the best care!
