Anybody else have an older Best Friend ?
🌞 Day 2: let me introduce you to one of my very best Friends, her name is Debbie Hopkins. She happens to be my cousin as well. We developed a special relationship over the years and I am so grateful for her. She is in her late 60’s and i am in my 30’s and with such an age gap i was surprised how easy it was to talk and share with her, we can talk about anything. I cherish every bit of time i get to spend with her and blessed to have such a wonderful a wise woman in my life.
This pic was taken when we took a weekend trip to Charleston for my B-Day. We had a good time.
Friendships can blossom in unexpected ways, especially when age isn't a barrier. Having a best friend who is much older can offer a rich perspective on life. Older friends often share invaluable wisdom and experiences that can guide us. They can inspire us to appreciate life’s nuances and provide insights that often come with years of living. Conversations with older friends can be filled with stories from the past, offering a window into history and tradition. Moreover, having a mentor-like figure in our lives can help influence our decisions and shape our character. Many people find that these relationships encourage personal growth and emotional maturity. Additionally, shared activities can create lasting memories, just like the trip to Charleston celebrated in the article. Whether it's through shared hobbies, travel, or simple exchanges of ideas, the bond formed can be beautiful and rewarding. Embrace the idea of connecting with older friends; they often have a treasure trove of experiences and insights that benefit younger individuals greatly.
