... Read moreHey everyone! After my incredible visit, I just had to share more about why Toronto, Canada, is an absolute must-see. The original list gives you a great starting point, but let me dive a little deeper into what makes these spots truly special and give you some extra tips for your trip! First off, Nathan Phillips Square isn't just a point on a map; it's the vibrant heart of the city! You absolutely have to get a photo with the iconic, colorful "TORONTO" sign – it lights up beautifully at night too, just like in some of my photos! Depending on when you visit, you might catch a free concert, a lively market, or even go ice skating in winter. It’s a fantastic spot to just soak in the city's energy. Then there's the majestic CN Tower. Trust me, the views from up there are breathtaking! You get a panoramic vista of the entire Toronto skyline, stretching across Lake Ontario. I recommend going around sunset for truly spectacular sights. If you're feeling extra adventurous, check out the EdgeWalk – definitely an unforgettable experience that makes you feel like you're literally on top of the world! For a dose of culture, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is a gem. Its unique, angular 'crystal' architecture alone is worth seeing, inside and out. Inside, you'll find everything from dinosaur skeletons to stunning art and world culture exhibits. It’s a place where you can easily spend hours getting lost in history and discovery. Don't forget to fuel up! A trip to St. Lawrence Market is an absolute must for any food lover. This historic market is packed with incredible local vendors selling everything from fresh produce and artisan cheeses to delicious hot meals. Grab a peameal bacon sandwich – it’s a Toronto classic you won't regret! Many of these amazing spots are concentrated in downtown Toronto, making it incredibly walkable and easy to explore. From the bustling Harbourfront Centre, where you can watch boats and even try kayaking (just like in some of the waterfront pictures!), to catching a thrilling Raptors or Maple Leafs game, there's always something happening. The city truly comes alive here, especially around places like the Scotiabank Arena or Rogers Centre. A few extra tips for your Toronto adventure: Getting Around: Toronto has an excellent public transport system (TTC), making it easy to get to most attractions. Walking is also a great way to discover hidden gems in downtown! Best Time to Visit: Summer (June-August) offers warm weather and many outdoor festivals. Fall (September-October) is beautiful with changing leaves, while winter brings festive markets and ice skating. Beyond the Downtown: While downtown is fantastic, consider a day trip to Niagara Falls – it’s a classic Canadian experience and easily accessible from Toronto. Or, if you have kids (or are a kid at heart!), the Toronto Zoo is a full day adventure! And for pure fun, don't miss the chance to experience Canada's Wonderland, especially if you love thrilling rides – it's often visible from parts of the city and is a fantastic day out, just like the water park scenes I saw! Toronto truly offers something for everyone, combining urban excitement with beautiful natural spaces. I can't wait for you to experience it!
