Pull up progress ☺️

As some of you may know, I have been working on a goal of doing pull-ups. It has not been easy at all, but it’s not supposed to be. I know that I’ll get there eventually I’m just not there yet and that’s OKAY. Maturing for me is realizing that I cannot be the best at everything but I can and will work on being great at it. Sidenote, should I share what I’ve been doing to practice being able to do pull-ups? #pullups #negatives #upperbodyworkout #Philadelphia #phillyfitness

... Read morePull-ups are a fantastic exercise for developing upper body strength, targeting muscles like the back, biceps, and shoulders. To effectively build up to your first successful pull-up, it's essential to implement a combination of techniques. One effective method is performing negative pull-ups, where you jump to the top position and slowly lower down. This can help build the necessary strength and muscle memory. Incorporating exercises like lat pulldowns and assisted pull-ups can also accelerate your progress. Additionally, focusing on overall upper body workouts will enhance your strength. Structured training plans that focus on progression over time and adequate rest are vital. Also, nutrition plays a significant role; ensure you're fueling your body with the right nutrients to support muscle recovery and growth. Remember, patience and consistency are key, so celebrate small victories along the journey to reaching your pull-up goals! Don't hesitate to engage with local fitness communities or forums, such as those in Philadelphia, where tips and experiences can be shared among enthusiasts. Whether you're looking to connect through hashtags like #phillyfitness or seeking inspiration from fellow fitness fans, building a support system can be invaluable.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the support and suggestions on my last post. I know some of you had questions for updates or follow ups but I didn’t want to provide one until I can give a ACTUAL progress photos. (I don’t think it’s been exactly one month but long enough to see results for sure)

Not all great progress ends in crazy weight loss
This got a lot of hate when I first posted it one of my groups because my progress pic doesn’t end with weight loss… now reposting a year later, it didn’t end at all. When I first posted this a year ago, I posted because I was proud of my bulk, even when I was soo scared of gaining weight.

Have you stopped making progress?😬
Yes, there are rep ranges that are better for different goals/ results… but all of them will eventually STOP working when you use it for too long. Your body will adapt and you will eventually hit a PLATEAU in your progress. On average it takes our bodies 4-6 weeks to fully adapt to a new stim
