Grandmas butter biscuits

3 ingredients needed for fluffy homemade butter biscuits.

2 cups of sifted self rising flour

1 stick of butter

3/4-1 cup of milk

Place your 2 cups of flour to a mixing bowl.

Get your cheese grater and grate one stick of butter into the mixing bowl.

Slowly pour in your milk and stir it all together using a fork

On a clean surface sprinkle some flour so you can prepare your biscuit mix.

Fold your mix 12 times (if your mix is sticking to your hands don't be afraid to add more flour until it's not sticky anymore)

Bake in a cast iron skillet on 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes!

I put more butter and then drizzled honey over it and even my kids loved it! Enjoy 🫶🏽

Adding herbs like rosemary or thyme can introduce an aromatic twist, while incorporating shredded cheese can add richness to the flavor. For extra fluffiness, ensure your butter is cold when grating it into the flour. This helps create those flaky layers that everyone loves. Don't forget to perfect your folding technique; folding the dough rather than over-kneading it keeps the biscuits light and airy. Baking in a preheated skillet is another secret to achieving a crispy bottom. Pair your biscuits with homemade jams or fresh fruit for a complete breakfast experience. Enjoy the process of baking, and remember, the most important ingredient is love! Whether you're a novice or an experienced baker, these tips will help you create biscuits that not only taste great but also bring joy to your table.

I use same measurements but I use buttermilk instead of milk. They are great biscuits.
