จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ได้ลองนั่งสมาธิ ปรากฏว่าตอนแรกก็มีความคิดแปลกๆ ผุดขึ้นมาโดยไม่ตั้งใจ คล้ายกับความกังวล หรือความคิดล่องลอยในใจ บางครั้งก็มีความคิดเกี่ยวกับเรื่องที่เราไม่อยากคิด เช่น คิดลบหลู่พระรัตนตรัย หรือเรื่องที่ไม่ดีต่างๆ สิ่งเหล่านี้ทำให้เกิดความกลัวและความรู้สึกผิดตามมา เมื่อได้อ่านคำตอบจากพระอาจารย์ตะวัน ทำให้เราเข้าใจว่า ความคิดเหล่านั้นไม่ใช่ความตั้งใจของเรา และไม่ได้หมายความว่าเป็นบาป พระอาจารย์แนะนำให้เราสังเกตความคิดเหล่านี้ในฐานะอนุสัย หรือกิเลสที่นอนเนื่องอยู่ในใจความคิดไม่ดีเป็นเพียงขยะที่ลอยขึ้นมาจากจิตใจเหมือนตะกอนในน้ำ เมื่อเรานั่งสมาธิและคนน้ำ บางครั้งตะกอนก็ลอยขึ้นมา ให้เราอย่าไปตามหรือยึดมั่นกับความคิดเหล่านั้น แค่ทำความรู้จักและปล่อยวาง ผมได้ตั้งใจฝึกปรับจิตใจใหม่ โดยเมื่อตอนที่ความคิดไม่ดีผุดขึ้นมา ก็ฝึกสังเกตโดยไม่พยายามปฏิเสธหรือไล่ความคิด แต่ให้กลับมาโฟกัสที่ลมหายใจ หรือลมหายใจเข้าลมหายใจออก เพื่อไม่ให้ความคิดเหล่านั้นยึดครองจิตใจ ซึ่งก็ช่วยให้ใจสงบลง และลดความรู้สึกผิดที่มีต่อความคิดดังกล่าว สิ่งที่สำคัญคือ การเข้าใจธรรมชาติของกิเลสและอนุสัยในใจเรา โดยที่ไม่วิจารณ์ตนเองมากเกินไป บางครั้งกิเลสดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นเองโดยอัตโนมัติ และไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นบาปถ้าเราไม่มีเจตนาไปตามใจความคิดนั้น หรือกระทำในสิ่งที่ผิด สำหรับใครที่นั่งสมาธิแล้วข้องใจกับความคิดไม่ดีแนะนำให้เปิดใจรับฟังคำสอน และลองฝึกสังเกตเจตนาของตนเองโดยไม่ตัดสินตัวเองอย่างรุนแรง จะช่วยให้จิตใจสงบและมีสมาธิมากขึ้น ส่วนการแชร์ประสบการณ์กับผู้อื่นที่ผ่านเรื่องเดียวกัน ก็เป็นอีกวิธีหนึ่งที่ช่วยให้เข้าใจและมีกำลังใจฝึกสมาธิต่อไปครับ
