Having to deal with multiple conditions (lupus, polymiositis, and sjogrens), I'm learning that some days don't have to be as bad if I pay more attention to my gut health. Research can confirm that quite a bit of inflammation has to do with processed foods, sugars, etc. The ultimate goal is being able to have more mobility, even though I may not get back to my ability, pre-diagnosis. I'm not out of the race yet, though, so I'll still keep trying to find what works. 💪🏾💜🦋

Including anti-inflammatory foods in your meals is vital. Focusing on whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains can greatly benefit those on a healing journey. For instance, the ingredients in homemade chicken salad not only offer a delicious meal option, but they are also packed with nutrients that support your gut health. Ingredients like shredded chicken provide lean protein, while veggies like carrots and celery take care of your fiber intake. Adding spices such as garlic powder and natural seasonings like pink Himalayan salt enhances flavor without adding harmful preservatives. Moreover, foods like cherries and grapes are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Cherries are rich in antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress in the body, while grapes can aid in improving cardiovascular health and reducing inflammation. Don't forget to consider the benefits of hydration. Drinking enough water plays a crucial role in gut health and overall wellness. So, as you experiment with recipes and meal preparations, keep in mind the importance of balancing flavors with nutrition. Remember, it's not about strict diets but about making healthier food choices that can lead you toward your wellness goals.
