Remember that the context of your relationship plays a role in determining which questions are appropriate, so feel free to adjust based on your familiarity. Understanding someone also involves active listening—show genuine interest in their answers and be ready to explore their stories further. This not only helps deepen the conversation but also builds trust and rapport. Engage in follow-up questions that stem from their responses, and don't be afraid to share your own thoughts as well to foster a two-way dialogue.
