For years, I struggled with feeling judged for being stubborn or emotional—traits often called "terca" or "llorona" in Spanish. But I realized that these qualities are part of what makes us unique and relatable. In my experience, embracing all parts of myself, even those that aren’t traditionally praised, helped me build deeper connections and improved my self-esteem. Whether it’s being "mandona" (bossy) or "peleonera" (argumentative), these traits often come from passion and care. If you often find yourself feeling misunderstood for your strong personality or sensitivity, remember that the right people will see your worth exactly as you are. Try journaling about your emotions or talking openly with trusted friends about how these traits show up in your life. Over time, acceptance and self-love grew by focusing on strengths hidden within what I once saw as flaws. Ultimately, the perfect version of yourself is the one who embraces every aspect—flaws included. Being authentic not only boosts confidence but also helps you attract genuine relationships where you are loved unconditionally.
