Pantheon is fun

2025/1/24 Edited to

... Read moreOkay, so I've been absolutely loving playing Pantheon recently, especially for getting those critical early game wins in League of Legends. He just feels incredibly strong and can really snowball a game if you play him right and understand his power spikes. If you're looking to make a big impact from the start, Pantheon is your guy! What I've found makes Pantheon so potent is his early-game burst and reliable crowd control. His first few levels are where he shines brightest. My go-to strategy usually involves aggressive trading. His Q, Comet Spear, is your bread and butter for both poke and last-hitting. What I often do is use it to harass my opponent when they go for a minion, and then, if the opportunity arises, follow up with a W, Aegis Assault, for a quick stun and some burst damage. This combo is super reliable for winning early trades in your favor, often leading to those satisfying 'Enemy slain' notifications. And don't forget his E, Shield Vault. While it's great for quickly engaging or disengaging, its damage-blocking potential is phenomenal. I've used it countless times to turn around what looked like a losing trade or to survive a gank that would have otherwise spelled disaster. Mastering its timing, especially with Aegis Assault to get in and block crucial damage, can truly differentiate a good Pantheon from a great one. It's all about maximizing your damage output while minimizing theirs. His ultimate, Grand Starfall, is just incredible for applying map pressure across the entire Summoner's Rift. I love using it to gank other lanes when my opponent doesn't expect it, or to quickly join a skirmish that's breaking out faraway. It feels so satisfying when you land a perfect ult and catch someone off guard, securing a kill or an assist. I've had so many moments where enemies thought they were safe under their tower or roaming, only for a Pantheon ult to drop on their heads, leading to another 'Enemy slain' message. It's a fantastic tool for extending your early game lead across the map. In mid lane, Pantheon can bully a lot of mages and assassins. Play aggressively, but always respect their cooldowns and jungle tracking. For top lane, it's about managing waves effectively and finding those all-in windows against bruisers or tanks. Your early burst can really surprise them. My advice? Practice those W-Q-E combos and watch your opponents melt. Just be mindful of vision and enemy jungler movements, as Pantheon can be vulnerable if caught out. Honestly, the feeling of getting an 'Enemy slain' notification just a few minutes into the game is what keeps me coming back to Pantheon. He's a true early game powerhouse, and understanding how to use his abilities effectively, from Comet Spear to Grand Starfall, will totally change your lane phase. If you're looking for a champion to climb with, especially by dominating the early stages of a match, Pantheon is definitely worth picking up. Don't let the game go too long without making an impact!
