... Read moreIt's funny how we fixate on certain parts of our bodies, isn't it? For me, for a long time, it was my back. I'd often find myself wondering, 'do I have a big back or a small back?' and comparing myself to others. This journey, which I'm calling my #bodytransformation, has been eye-opening, and I'm so excited to share my 6-Month Check-in with you all! When I started my Weight Loss Journey, I wasn't just thinking about the number on the scale. I wanted to feel strong, healthy, and genuinely confident in my own skin. From MAY, when I really committed, to JUL and beyond, every little victory felt huge. I learned that what makes a 'big back' versus a 'small back' isn't always about overall body size, but often about muscle definition, posture, and where our bodies naturally store fat. For me, it was about reducing overall body fat and building lean muscle to create a more defined shape. My path involved embracing a healthier lifestyle, and a big part of that was my THRIVE EXPERIENCE. It wasn't a magic pill, but a holistic approach that helped me with sustained energy and focus. I focused on consistent workouts—incorporating a mix of strength training for my lats, traps, and deltoids, alongside regular cardio. I used to think I "can't" do certain exercises, but with perseverance, I found movements that worked for me and really started to feel my back muscles engaging. Nutrition played an equally vital role; portion control, eating whole foods, and staying hydrated were non-negotiable. These changes started to make a visible difference in my size and overall physique. The biggest shift wasn't just in how my back looked, but in how I felt. My confidence has truly soared! I remember feeling hesitant to wear certain clothes, especially crop tops or shorts that really highlighted my back. Now, I feel so much more comfortable and proud of the progress I've made. It's not about having a 'small' back in the traditional sense, but about having a strong, toned back that I'm confident in. If you're on a similar journey and find yourself asking 'big back vs small back,' here are a few things I learned that might help: Focus on Overall Health: True transformation comes from a holistic approach—diet, exercise, sleep, and mental well-being. Strength Training is Key: Don't be afraid to lift weights! Exercises like pull-ups (assisted if needed!), rows, and overhead presses can sculpt your back beautifully. They help define the muscles and contribute to a more streamlined look. Mind Your Posture: Good posture can instantly make your back look more defined and prevent slouching that might give the appearance of a 'bigger' back. Consistency is King: You won't see results overnight, but if you keep showing up, even on days you feel like you "can't," you "gonna" see changes happen. My 6-month journey truly proved this. Embrace Your Body: Ultimately, it's about feeling good in your body. Whether your back is naturally broad or slender, strong and muscular, or soft and smooth, confidence comes from within. I'm so glad I started this journey. It's made me realize that the goal isn't just about changing my physical size, but about gaining inner strength and confidence. Look at how far I've gone! It's been a truly empowering experience.
