One game-changing strategy I adopted was prioritizing topics based on their weightage and the areas I frequently missed. This helped me focus my energy on what really mattered, rather than overwhelming myself by trying to cover everything. I also discovered the power of active recall techniques. Instead of passively rereading notes, I used flashcards and the blurting method—where I tried recalling information without looking at my notes first. Teaching concepts to a friend or even to myself out loud was surprisingly effective for deepening retention. To combat burnout, I embraced the Pomodoro method: studying in focused 25-minute intervals followed by short 5-minute breaks. This routine helped me stay productive and maintain concentration across long study sessions. Packing a study emergency kit with essentials like water, snacks, a charger, headphones, and some emotional support items made marathon study days much more manageable. When time was tight, I prioritized doing past practice papers as a last-minute revision tactic. This not only highlighted weak spots but also familiarized me with the format of actual exam questions, reducing anxiety. Remember, studying strategically and taking care of your well-being during exam season truly makes a difference in achieving your academic comeback.
