Shooting at night requires balancing the ISO and shutter speed; in this case, an ISO of 160 and a shutter speed around 1/109s helped minimize noise while keeping the moon well-exposed. It’s also essential to stabilize your camera, so using a tripod or resting the phone can reduce blur. Using the Xiaomi 15’s camera features allowed me to focus precisely on the moon’s surface, and the night mode helped bring out subtle details without overexposure. Timing your shot when the moon is clear in the night sky further improves results. For anyone interested in night sky photography, experimenting with these settings and paying attention to natural light conditions can significantly enhance your moon photos. Don’t forget to review your shots on a larger screen to appreciate the fine lunar textures captured by your device.
