Family vacation : Orlando, FL

This was our first family vacation as a family of three! We went to Orlando & did everything EXCEPT go to Disney world. 😂 My daughter is only 1.5 y/o & as much as I wanted to spend the money to go so I could enjoy myself, I think it’d be better for her once she’s older & can appreciate/remember more of it. We went for 4 days/3 nights and made the most of our trip!

We went to Wonderworks, the upside down house. They had 3 levels of fun! The first level was very interesting with world facts and they let you experience things like earthquakes, a hurricane, lightning & some other things. The second level was more kid friendly with bubbles, sandbox, interactive games, etc.

We rented a car & went to Cocoa Beach an hour from Orlando. Thank God we didn’t make it a beach vacation specifically because my daughter HATED every minute of the beach. The sand, the water, ALL OF IT. lol

We also took a stroll into Disney springs which was so cool & fun! We ate while there & let my daughter ride on a train and carousel. I’d say it was a great, cheap, and more appropriate “Disney” thing to bring her to with her being so little. We were out there for a couple of hours taking everything in and enjoying all of what it had to offer.

I can’t wait for our next family vacay in 2025! ☺️

... Read moreOrlando, Florida, is a fantastic destination for family vacations, especially for those with toddlers. While attractions like Disney World capture the spotlight, Orlando offers a wealth of other kid-friendly options. For instance, WonderWorks provides an engaging environment where children can learn and play simultaneously. The interactive exhibits, including the earthquake simulator and bubble stations, are perfect for curious young minds. Cocoa Beach is another popular spot, albeit with some toddlers not being fans of sand or waves. Parents should be ready with alternative activities or let their little ones explore in their own way. If the beach isn't a hit, consider visiting local parks or shopping areas designed for family enjoyment without the long lines typical at larger theme parks. Disney Springs is a great compromise, providing a taste of Disney magic without an expensive ticket. Families can enjoy dining, shopping, and entertainment tailored for younger children who may not appreciate the rides yet. From train rides to playful carousels, there's plenty of joy to be found there. For parents planning a trip, consider staying flexible in your plans and prioritizing activities that cater to your toddler's interests. Embrace the spontaneity of family travel and focus on making lasting memories together!
