I had the opportunity to visit 19 states, including Washington (WA), North Dakota (ND), Minnesota (MN), Oregon (OR), Wisconsin (WI), South Dakota (SD), New York (NY), Michigan (MI), Wyoming (WY), Pennsylvania (PA), Nebraska (NE), Nevada (NV), Utah (UT), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), California (CA), Colorado (CO), West Virginia (WV), Virginia (VA), Kansas (KS), Missouri (MO), Kentucky (KY), North Carolina (NC), Tennessee (TN), Oklahoma (OK), Arizona (AZ), Arkansas (AR), South Carolina (SC), New Mexico (NM), and Georgia (GA).
Each state offered something unique, whether natural beauty, historical sites, or vibrant city life. For instance, exploring the Pacific Northwest's lush landscapes in Washington and Oregon was truly refreshing, while cities like New York and Chicago showcased dynamic urban experiences. Visiting states like Wyoming and South Dakota was a chance to witness the vast open spaces and iconic landmarks like Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park.
What made my travels special was not just ticking states off a list but immersing myself in local culture and cuisine. From savoring deep-dish pizza in Chicago to enjoying southern barbecue in Tennessee, each place had its flavor. Road trips between these states also created memorable moments—driving through the scenic routes of Colorado's Rocky Mountains and the deserts of Nevada.
If you’re considering visiting multiple states, I recommend planning a flexible itinerary to allow for spontaneous discoveries. Use hashtags like #statesivebeento to connect with other travelers sharing their journeys. Trust me, the sense of accomplishment and adventure from crossing states off your travel list is incredibly rewarding and opens your eyes to America’s rich diversity.
