When I first started experimenting with alternative styles, I was a bit intimidated, but honestly, it's all about having fun and letting your creativity flow! This particular look was inspired by wanting something truly dramatic and a bit eerie. The first thing I focused on was achieving that striking black nose effect. I find using a highly pigmented black cream makeup or a gel liner applied with a small brush works best. You can blend it slightly at the edges for a softer, smoke-like transition, or keep it super sharp for a more cartoonish, intense vibe. I like to build it up in layers to ensure it's opaque and doesn't fade throughout the day. Setting it with a black eyeshadow is a must to prevent smudging! Next up, the red and black dripping lines! This is where the real fun begins. For the black drips, I usually use a liquid eyeliner or a thinned-out black cream paint. Don't be afraid to go heavy with the mascara or add some dramatic false lashes to amplify the effect. I love how a messy, smudged look around the eyes adds to the overall dark aesthetic. To complete the vibe, my dark, messy hair is usually achieved with a bit of backcombing and some styling spray to give it that wild, untamed feel. And throwing on a classic black coat or jacket instantly enhances the whole alternative atmosphere.
