The process starts by finely dicing fresh apples, which should be peeled and cored for the best taste. The apples are then mixed with a pinch of cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl, creating a sweet and flavorful filling. Using wonton wrappers, place a teaspoon of the apple mixture in the center of each wrapper. To seal, a small amount of water is brushed on the edges before folding and pressing them together tightly. This step is crucial to prevent the filling from escaping during frying. Once prepared, heat oil in a deep pan and fry the wontons until they turn a golden brown color. For an added touch, after frying, toss the warm wontons in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to enhance their sweetness and flavor. Serve them warm to truly enjoy the delightful contrast of crispy outer shell and warm apple filling inside. These apple pie wontons are not only easy to prepare but also impressively delicious, making them a perfect dessert for gatherings or family dinners. Whether you're a novice cook or a seasoned chef, this recipe is a fun way to incorporate a twist on a classic dish, allowing you to savor the rich tastes of fall with every bite.
