Accounting Student Life
Studying accounting at midnight because I'm a mom of two young boys. I'm currently working on a notebook with a list of all the equations/formulas that are used in accounting. I know I could 100% look at any equation via Google, but I find being on my phone distracting and lists are super helpful to me.
NGL I am not a great note-taker, so we'll see how this turns out. Even if this idea fails, at least I tried.

Studying accounting can often feel overwhelming, especially for those juggling parental responsibilities. As you draft your list of essential accounting equations, consider the significance of mastering core principles such as the Accounting Equation: Assets = Liabilities + Stockholders' Equity. This formula is fundamental in understanding how a company balances its financial position. Incorporating visual aids like charts can enhance retention, particularly at late-night study sessions when distractions abound. Additionally, the average collection period is a critical financial metric that many students overlook. This ratio, calculated as 365 days divided by the receivables turnover ratio, measures the efficiency of a company in managing its accounts receivable and can be vital for making informed business decisions. Utilizing reliable online resources, alongside your handwritten notes, will help solidify your understanding of complex subjects. Connecting with fellow students, either through forums or study groups, can offer both motivation and fresh perspectives. Always remember to celebrate small successes in your studies and be kind to yourself in the learning process!
