I do not use my cricket often. The sticker paper only came with printer setting instructions, not settings for the machine. Any advice would be great. I did it under default pressure. I’m going to try less pressure to see if that helps. I may need to go into the Material settings and adjust it for that type of paper. Other than that, I don’t know what to do. I do have a clean blade.
If you're a Cricut Maker user working with sticker paper, managing machine settings is crucial for achieving the best results. It’s common to find that instructions with sticker paper focus mainly on printer settings, leaving questions about Cricut machine adjustments unanswered. Firstly, understanding that sticker paper can vary in thickness and coating is important, as these characteristics influence cutting pressure and blade depth. Since the paper used is described as "paperplan STICKER PAPER Suitable for a printer, 20 SHEETS TRANSPARENT WEATHERPROOF," it's likely a specialty vinyl or coated adhesive paper that requires precise blade control. When cutting such sticker paper, starting with the default pressure may work, but if cuts aren't clean, lowering the pressure slightly can prevent overcutting or tearing. It’s also critical to check the blade condition regularly—even a clean blade, as mentioned, might need replacement if not cutting correctly. In the Cricut Design Space software, you can manually adjust material settings. Select a material type closest to your sticker paper, like "Sticker Paper" or "Printable Vinyl," then customize the pressure and blade depth. Perform small test cuts to fine-tune these settings. This incremental approach reduces trial and error and preserves your materials. Additionally, using a standard grip or light grip cutting mat can affect the cut’s quality. Ensure the mat is clean and sticky enough to hold the sticker paper firmly in place without causing damage when removing the cut decals. For further help, online Cricut communities and forums under hashtags such as #cricut, #cricutmaker, and #diycrafts can offer user-generated insights and troubleshooting tips tailored to specific sticker paper brands and types. Sharing your exact sticker paper model and cutting issues can attract experienced advice. Lastly, remember that sometimes sticker paper manufacturer recommendations don't transfer perfectly to Cricut settings, so personal experimentation combined with cautious adjustments remains key. Keeping a record of successful settings for different sticker paper types can simplify future projects and improve your crafting efficiency.

Well, I guess I kind of figured out that there is an issue with pressure because it cut all the way through the backing. Also, it is cutting like I need to calibrate my machine. That was the first thing I did before I started to make anything and it calibrated perfectly. I was reading that some people use the laminating sheets over their stickers. If anyone knows about that do you do that before you put it through the machine? Probably so. Also, can you laminate it hot or do you have to use cold lamination? Google said less pressure and multiple passes. I don’t like the sounds of that so I think I’m just going to go adjust some of the pressure settings and give that a try until I get some useful tips.
