WIP Snips- movement
Taken from chapter 1 of my WIP

Small sounds drifted down, carried by the breeze. The same movement of air brought something else my way. A mixture of scents, a combination of human and shifter, some known to me, others not.
My focus narrowed, and a single scent caught my attention in a vice. It hit me, full force. It shouldn't have. No single scent should be capable of doing that to me. Yet this one did.
I stopped, unaware I was no longer moving, and lifted my head. My nostrils flared and I drew in the scent, parting my lips so it would play over my tongue, needing to taste it all. To know the one the scent belonged to. Saliva pooled instantly, and a shock ran through my body, and punched its way through into my groin.
Hard.
I was instantly, painfully, erect. My balls ached and pressed against the base of my ******** as I shifted my weight, searching for the source of the tantalizing aroma. A low, hungry growl vibrated upward from my chest, and the need to shift surged into life, demanding I take action and separate out the owner of that delicious, tempting aroma from everyone else.
Especially the males.
They couldn't be near her. I couldn't risk it.
Her?
I hadn't filtered through the scent enough to determine gender.
My chest tightened and I forced myself to breathe through it, through the tension and demands now threatened to wreak havoc through my system. Snarled warnings that the wolf wanted out.
Now.
