I usually start by selecting a quiet time and space where I won’t be disturbed, allowing me to focus fully on the Word of God. Using a dedicated journal helps me capture reflections and insights during the session, which deepens understanding and retention. One useful tool I rely on is a blend of colored pens and highlighters, which help me organize notes without overwhelming the page. For instance, I mark promises in blue, commandments in green, and lessons in pink. This color-coding approach makes reviewing much easier. I also like to refer to various Bible study supplies such as commentaries or concordances to get context on difficult passages. Recently, I began incorporating digital Bible apps, which offer daily devotionals, reading plans, and cross-references to enrich study time. Journaling after the study session provides a dedicated space to write prayers or personal applications of the verses read. This helps connect scripture with day-to-day life and anchor lessons more personally. Lastly, setting a recurring calendar reminder positively impacts discipline, ensuring the practice becomes a daily habit. Over months, this routine has not only increased my biblical knowledge but also brought a deeper peace during meditation moments, making the Word of God a constant and comforting presence.
