Replying to @Alzaabi 🤍 Dry Hair Tips & why they matter ⬇️💖
1. Stop shampooing your mids and ends
Shampoo is meant for your scalp. When you scrub it through your lengths, it strips away the natural oils your ends rely on, making dryness worse over time.
2. Use a hair mask once a week
Weekly masks replenish moisture and help soften dry hair that regular conditioner alone can’t fully restore.
3. Be gentle, no harsh brushing
Dry hair is more fragile. Aggressive brushing creates breakage, frizz, and split ends because the hair has less elasticity when it’s dehydrated.
4. Do monthly hair repair (bonding) treatments
If your hair loses moisture quickly, you likely have high-porosity hair, meaning the cuticle is more open. Bonding treatments help reinforce the hair structure so moisture stays in longer.
5. Apply leave-in conditioner to damp hair
Damp hair absorbs hydration better. Leave-in conditioner helps lock in moisture before hair has a chance to dry out.
6. Seal with oil after moisturizing
Oils don’t hydrate on their own, but they seal in the moisture you’ve already added, helping prevent dryness throughout the day.
7. Sleep on silk instead of cotton
Cotton absorbs moisture and creates friction. Silk helps hair retain hydration and reduces overnight breakage and frizz.
