From personal experience, I've learned that Monsteras love a balance — not too soggy nor too dry. Initially, I kept overwatering my plant, which led to yellowing leaves and root rot. Once I adjusted to watering only when the top inch of soil felt dry, the plant bounced back beautifully. Misting can be beneficial since Monsteras thrive in humid environments. However, misting should complement, not replace, proper watering. I found that misting once or twice a week helped maintain humidity around the leaves, preventing browning edges, especially in drier indoor air. Just be sure not to overdo it, as excessive moisture on leaves can invite fungal issues. Also, be mindful of the light conditions. Indirect, bright light encourages healthy leaf growth. My Monstera baby showed slow development when placed in low light but flourished after moving closer to a north-facing window. Overall, watch your plant closely and adjust care based on its responses—this attentive approach has helped my Monstera thrive and made the growth journey truly rewarding.
