My Favorite Read of 2024
Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh is by far my favorite read of 2024. It was on my TBR for a while, and I finally decided to read it! And let me tell you it’s worth all the hype it gets!! I gave this book a 5 stars⭐️ both times I read it (and yes, it’s so good that I reread it right after I had first finished it🤭)Binding 13 is the first book in the Boys of Tommen series that has 5 total books following different characters, with more on the way!
This book is a sports contemporary romance novel that takes place in Southern Ireland. It is dual POV and follows the story of Johnny Kavanagh and Shannon Lynch. Johnny, is a popular rugby star who is dealing with personal struggles, including a strained relationship with his family and an injury that hes kept hidden from everyone close to him and could cost him his career in rugby. Shannon, who has her own painful history and is trying to find her place and heal from past and current trauma. When she transfers to a new prestigious private school, she is instantly drawn to Johnny.
Johnny and Shannon share a strong emotional connection, and as their relationship grows, they must confront their fears, insecurities, and emotional scars they’ve been carrying. This book has themes such as love, self-discovery and healing. And it also has great tropes including friends to lovers, sports romance, and found family!
