Introducing Toby!

Finding a stray animal, especially a newborn, can be an incredibly emotional experience. For us, it all started one crisp autumn evening when we discovered a stray cat had given birth right in our garage! It was a complete surprise, but seeing those tiny, helpless kittens, including our beloved Toby, immediately pulled at our heartstrings. We quickly realized that these two, Toby and his sister, were incredibly bonded. They snuggled together, played together, and it became clear we couldn't separate them. The decision to keep them wasn't hard at all; it felt like fate had brought them to us. Bringing two stray kittens indoors came with its own set of challenges, from vet visits to kitten-proofing the house, but every moment has been worth it. Toby, whom we affectionately call Mr. October, has truly become the certified loverboy of our home. He's such a character! He absolutely loves to 'work from home' by napping on keyboards or supervising our tasks from a cozy spot. When he's not napping with his sister, his favorite pastime is playing with his best friend, Salem. Salem is another one of our furry family members, and their antics together are endlessly entertaining. You'll often find them wrestling playfully on the cat tree or chasing anything that dangles. It’s amazing to see the joy they bring to each other, and to us. Providing a safe, loving home for animals like Toby and his sister has been one of the most rewarding experiences. There's something truly special about watching a former stray thrive and blossom into a confident, happy pet. They remind us daily that a little kindness can go a long way. While Toby might hate hats (we're still working on getting him to come around!), his quirky personality and endless cuddles make every day brighter. If you're considering welcoming a pet into your life, especially from a local animal shelter or by taking in a stray, I highly recommend it. The love they give back is immeasurable.
