WIEIAD: Breastfeeding Edition
This was a light day for me tbh! Breastfeeding has had me ravenous so my potions have been much bigger than usual! Now that my girl is 2 months she’s sleeping through the night so that means less snacking for me.
Right now I am able to exclusively breastfeed and also pump about 10-20 additional oz per day. I’m so thankful for my output.
For me personally I haven’t noticed any supply correlation with what I eat or drink tbh. In the beginning it was super hard but if you stay consistent you can make it happen!

As a breastfeeding mom, I found that staying consistent with my feeding schedule was more important than obsessing over every meal I consumed. While I did notice the difference in my hunger levels due to increased energy demands, maintaining a balanced and enjoyable diet helped me sustain my milk supply without stress. From personal experience, hydration played a key role— I always kept water nearby, sometimes spicing it up with a splash of lemonade or reaching for sparkling water to keep things refreshing. Protein-rich snacks like pistachio protein lattes or apples paired with peanut butter were my go-tos for quick energy boosts between feeds. For lunch, incorporating hearty vegetables and lean proteins like air-fried chicken or carne asada in salads made the meals satisfying and nutritious. Desserts like chocolate peanut wafers occasionally kept cravings in check, showing balance rather than restriction is possible. I also found pumping extra milk helped me manage supply better and allowed more flexibility, especially as my baby started sleeping through the night at two months. This meant fewer snacks were needed, but I still paid attention to nourishing my body to stay energized. Overall, rather than focusing on a strict diet to boost milk production, embracing consistent feeding, listening to hunger cues, and enjoying a variety of wholesome foods made the breastfeeding journey sustainable and fulfilling for me.
