If you're looking for a comforting breakfast or brunch dish that combines classic Southern flavors with a modern twist, this TikTok biscuits and gravy casserole is an excellent choice. Using refrigerated biscuits makes preparation quick and convenient, while ground breakfast sausage adds a savory richness that pairs perfectly with the creamy gravy. To enhance the flavor, you can use a quality packet gravy mix or make your own homemade sausage gravy by blending cooked sausage drippings with flour, milk, and seasonings. For the egg mixture, whisking the eggs with milk ensures the casserole sets nicely, creating a tender and custardy texture that binds all the ingredients together. When arranging the casserole, cutting biscuits into fourths allows them to soak up the egg and gravy mixture, giving each bite a soft yet flavorful consistency. Baking at 350 degrees for 40 minutes bakes everything evenly, while letting it rest before serving helps it firm up for easy slicing. For an extra touch, consider adding cheese, such as shredded cheddar or pepper jack, between the layers or on top for a melty golden crust. Fresh herbs like chopped parsley or chives sprinkled before serving can brighten the dish. This casserole is perfect not only as a weekend treat but also as a make-ahead meal; assemble it the night before and bake in the morning for effortless hosting. It pairs wonderfully with fresh fruit, a green salad, or a cup of coffee for a satisfying start to the day.
