Hey everyone! As someone who's spent countless hours in the fog, I wanted to share my personal take on one of the most iconic killers in DEAD BY DAYLIGHT: Michael Myers. Specifically, let's dive into what makes his 'stalking' mechanic so utterly terrifying and, frankly, a blast to master. If you've ever wondered how to play Myers effectively or just want to understand why he feels like a 'certified stalker,' you're in the right place! Myers' unique power, 'Evil Within,' is all about stalking. It's what makes him stand out. You start in Evil Within I (EW1), where you're super slow but completely undetectable by Terror Radius. This is your stealth phase, perfect for getting close to survivors without them knowing. The goal? Stalk them from a distance. Every second you spend looking at a survivor without them seeing you fills up your Evil Within meter. Once you've stalked enough, you hit Evil Within II (EW2). This is your bread and butter. You gain a standard Terror Radius, move at normal killer speed, and your lunge attack range increases. Many Myers players spend a lot of time in EW2, as it offers a good balance of speed and power. But the real magic happens when you push to Evil Within III (EW3). To reach EW3, you need to stalk even more. When you activate it, you become incredibly dangerous for a limited time. Your Terror Radius expands, your movement speed slightly increases, and most importantly, your attacks instantly put survivors into the dying state – no second hit needed! This is where the 'certified stalker' truly shines, downing multiple survivors in quick succession. My personal tip for EW3? Don't waste it. Try to activate it when you know you can get a quick down or two, especially if survivors are grouped up. So, how do you stalk effectively? Patience is key. Don't just run at survivors. Use cover, corners, and tall objects to your advantage. Try to stalk survivors who are busy on generators or unhooking. They're often less aware of their surroundings. I've found that stalking from unexpected angles, like through small gaps or over obstacles, can fill your meter surprisingly fast. Also, learn to 'tier up' efficiently. Sometimes, it's better to get just enough stalk to hit EW2 on one survivor, then move to another to charge for EW3. Don't over-stalk one person if you can spread it out. When it comes to perks, several synergize wonderfully with Myers' stalking. 'Corrupt Intervention' is fantastic for early game, blocking distant generators and forcing survivors closer, making them easier to stalk. 'Monitor & Abuse' reduces your Terror Radius in EW1 and EW2 (when not in chase), helping with stealth stalks. And once you're in EW3, 'Save the Best for Last' can be devastating, letting you quickly down multiple survivors without losing your momentum. As for add-ons, they can completely change your playstyle. The 'Scratched Mirror' (common) and 'Fragrant Tuft of Hair' (ultra rare) are classics. Scratched Mirror keeps you in EW1, giving you permanent undetectable and a smaller Terror Radius – perfect for jump scares on maps like The Game. Fragrant Tuft of Hair gives you infinite EW3, turning you into a persistent, one-shot machine. Experiment with them to find what fits your style! Playing Myers is all about controlling the map and psychologically tormenting survivors with your presence. That slow, silent stalk, the sudden reveal, and the burst of EW3 power – it’s an adrenaline rush. Whether you're aiming for a stealthy EW1 build or a brutal EW3 rampage, mastering his stalking will make you a formidable force in DEAD BY DAYLIGHT. Give him a try; you might just become a certified stalker yourself!
