My top 5 zombie games I’ve played
Now in this explanation, I would like to explain what I prioritized as “the top” for me. There are SEVERAL different zombie games out there that are amazing, it’s honestly my favorite genre of games. With that, there are some things that I prioritize. It’s gotta have a story.. When it comes to mindlessly killing zombies, what’s my drive, what’s the point, where are we going?! I need that in order to feel like there is truly something to achieve, the second thing is fun, if I’m not having fun or being challenged or being able to share it with someone then it doesn’t really catch my eye. Now let’s break it down.
5. Left for dead: Undeniably what started me into the zombies world and will always be a favorite, when it came to story it didn’t have the craziest but there was one. Plus being co-op and being able to play with friends was a huge one for me. The uniquely different type of zombie like the witch, man.
4. Undead nightmare: The first zombie game I played solo but the story was so cool, especially after play the original RDR, even in the very end when you think it’s over. You still unlock cool perks, PLUS YOU COME BACK AS A ZOMBIE !!!! Sorry for any spoilers..
3. The last of us: Most definitely, my favorite story.. the insane beauty of this game for 2012 and the way it kept you on your toes all the way to end. It felt so surreal, I wanted to just keep going and wish it never stopped.
2. Days gone: wanna talk about exciting! Not only could you get into crazy bike chases from zombie and multiple places to check out and ride on bikes, but you also had other types of enemy’s that made it really feel like this is what’s it’s gonna be like. I won’t give it all the way but damn, there were some tuff decisions in this one.
1. The last of us 2: This one truly broke my heart, I’ve never played a game that I was so excited for and then had to walk away for two weeks because I couldn’t face the reality of what was happening. I won’t give it away for anyone but if you get easily/emotionally attached to characters.. don’t play this game. The story was also SO amazing, you felt very emotion as you continued to play the game and I wish I could relive the way I felt when I played this game for the first time!
Once again, my personal opinion.. an honorable mention is dying light. Great game but the bugs and glitches really took it down, pretty good story and the game mechanics for a zombie game is unmatched. Dead island is also cool but I felt dying light did it better. Let me know what you think is the best and remember, this was really focused on the zombie portion of the game, not alien or creepy people.
