Let’s Build a Sensory Bin!

Credits to @Dania SAHM+UGC She gave me the idea for this one!

I found these “fossils” on Amazon, Dania found hers at the Dollar Tree but I looked at 3 dollar trees and I could find them! ☹️

Since her post I’ve been wanting to try this out for my son who is starting to love dinosaurs.

He had so much fun and was playing longer than 10 minutes with this one.

Want you need:

Dinosaur Sand Molds

Cardboard or paper

Markers

Lay Molds out to shape the dinosaur on cardboard

Trace the outline of the mold

Then hide mold pieces in oats or dirt

Let your little dig for fossils and match.

By incorporating tactile materials like oats or dirt, children can improve their fine motor skills while enjoying pretend play with dinosaur-themed activities. Consider adding items such as dinosaur figurines, magnifying glasses, or excavation tools to enhance the experience. You can also introduce educational aspects by discussing different types of dinosaurs and their habitats as they play. Using sensory bins can boost creativity, allowing kids to create their own dino adventures. Take this opportunity to bond and engage with your child in a playful setting, fostering a love for both learning and exploration. With simple materials and a little imagination, your dinosaur sensory bin will provide hours of fun and education! Remember to encourage open-ended play, allowing children to express themselves and discover at their own pace.

My mom did something like this but she had a bucket full of uncooked rice and she would take it out and I would play with it as my sensory activity when I was a kid
