The ABC’s of Safe Sleep
A: Baby should sleep Alone
-Keep your baby in the same room as you, but not in the same bed, for at least the first 6 months and ideally for the first year.
-Put nothing in the crib but your baby. This means no soft objects, loose bedding, or bumper pads.
-Use wearable blankets or sleep sacks if you think your baby is cold.
B: on their Back
-Always place your baby on their back to Sleep.
C: in a Crib
-Your baby should only sleep in a crib.
-Never put your baby to sleep on a couch, chair, waterbed, or other soft furniture. Put your baby back in their crib after nighttime feedings.
-Use a crib that meets current safety standards and that has a firm, tight-fitting mattress.
-Place the crib away from furniture, windows, blinds, and drapery cords.
-Also, keep mobiles out of your baby's reach.
