การสร้างภาพถ่ายแนว cinematic ที่ดูสมจริงและให้ความรู้สึกเรื่องราวนั้น ต้องให้ความสำคัญกับองค์ประกอบหลายอย่างประกอบกัน และสิ่งที่ผมได้ลองทำและอยากแชร์ให้กับคนที่รักการถ่ายภาพก็คือการตั้งใจใช้มุมกล้องระดับพื้น (ground-level perspective) ซึ่งจะช่วยทำให้ภาพดูใกล้ชิดและมีมิติที่ลึกขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด อีกหนึ่งสิ่งสำคัญคือการควบคุมระยะชัดตื้น (shallow depth of field) ด้วยการเลือกใช้เลนส์ที่เหมาะสม เช่น 50mm เพื่อโฟกัสไปที่ดวงตาของตัวแบบ ทำให้ใบหน้าและอารมณ์ถูกถ่ายทอดออกมาอย่างชัดเจน ในขณะที่มือหรือฉากหน้าซึ่งอยู่นอกโฟกัส จะให้ความรู้สึกเป็นธรรมชาติและนุ่มนวลมากขึ้น ผมเองก็ชอบใช้แสงธรรมชาติช่วงเย็น เพราะแสงนั้นนุ่มนวลและให้โทนสีภาพที่อบอุ่น เหมาะกับการสร้างอารมณ์แบบสงบและลึกซึ้ง นอกจากนี้ การเลือกเสื้อผ้าที่มีโทนสีเข้มแบบลายสก็อต เสื้อเชิ้ตลำลอง และการปล่อยผมยาวสีน้ำตาลเข้มแบบธรรมชาติก็ช่วยเสริมให้ภาพดูไม่โอเวอร์เกินจริงและคงความเป็นกันเอง ในการถ่ายภาพลักษณะนี้ ผมมักเน้นที่ texture ของผิวหนังและลักษณะรายละเอียดของใบหน้าเพื่อให้ภาพออกมาสมจริงที่สุด โดยไม่ใช้การตกแต่งหรือรีทัชที่มากจนเกินไป เพื่อรักษาความสดใหม่และธรรมชาติของตัวแบบในภาพไว้ สุดท้าย การถ่ายทอดอารมณ์ของภาพด้วยสายตาที่มองกล้องด้วยความนิ่ง และออกแบบให้ภาพมีความรู้สึก reflective หรือสะท้อนความรู้สึกภายในตัวแบบ ช่วยเพิ่มพลังให้ภาพถ่าย cinematic แบบนี้มีชีวิตชีวาและเข้าถึงผู้ชมได้มากขึ้นจริงๆ ถ้าใครได้ลองปรับใช้ตามนี้จะพบว่าภาพที่ออกมาไม่เพียงดูสวยเท่านั้น แต่ยังเต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยเรื่องราวและความรู้สึกที่ลึกซึ้งอีกด้วย
