What does 'God has my back' truly mean to me? It's that unwavering conviction that no matter what people might say or think about me, or what challenges come my way, it’s all going to be alright because I’ve got God standing right there behind me. It’s knowing that divine support is an ever-present force, a comforting hand on my shoulder, guiding me and protecting me. This isn't about avoiding difficulties, but about facing them with an unshakeable inner peace. This feeling that God always has my back brings such immense reassurance. There are days when I feel overwhelmed, when doubts creep in, or when things just don't go as planned. In those moments, remembering that Jesus has got my back changes everything. It’s like a quiet whisper reminding me I'm never walking alone. This understanding helps me pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep going, knowing that I am loved, supported, and truly can’t lose when I lean on His strength. For those seeking solace in scripture, here are a few Bible verses that beautifully capture this sentiment and have brought me comfort: Psalm 23:4: "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." this week this message has weighed heavy on my heart. sometimes we get in our own way and prevent our own blessings from coming, by being disobedient to what God is asking of us or not being willing to surrender our plans for us. we have to trust in him and trust that his plan will always be better
