I was honestly never a Disney fan (other than the movies growing up Ofcourse), until a friend had offered to take me to Disney for the first time in 2016. And that was it for me! My mom went on the trip with us, and it became a thing that my mom and I cherished together. We went every year twice a year some times three times. Her health took a bad decline, kidney failure and heart failure. We talked all the time about moving to Florida together and being in the magic all the time. It was a dream. She passed on the Fourth of July in 2023 , two months before she was able to take her final Disney trip. 6 months later I decided to pack up everything and move to Florida completely alone to pursue this dream we had, and it has been the best decision I have ever made. My partner Miguel I met when I got down here after a long 6 years of being single and he has been my rock and my Disney buddy thru all of this. We are always matching in the parks, helping people take photos and saying happy birthday, anniversary etc. it is our happy place and we love to share it with you! If you see us say hey! Disney World is not just a theme park; it's a place brimming with emotional connections and unforgettable experiences. Such was the case for those like me, who discovered Disney later in life through shared family experiences. Illness often shadows these memories, and my story is no exception. The desire to immerse oneself in the Disney magic intensifies when facing hardships such as family health challenges. In this context, every trip becomes an opportunity to create joyful moments with loved ones. After the passing of my mother, a final Disney trip became a dream unfulfilled, a motivation to honor her spirit through daily magic and joy at the parks. As I settled in Florida to chase this dream, I found love in unexpected places, reinforcing the idea that Disney is not just about rides and attractions, but also the community. Sharing moments with fellow Disney Enthusiasts and creating a support system with my partner, Miguel, has made this journey all the more fulfilling. Our adventures together, from matching outfits to capturing memories for other park-goers, highlight the importance of camaraderie in experiencing the magic. Visiting Disney World allows us to reconnect with our inner child, and offers a unique form of healing through joy and nostalgia. Whether it’s saying a cheerful ‘Happy Birthday’ to a stranger or reliving classic Disney moments, every interaction at the park adds to an ever-growing tapestry of magical memories. This journey is not just mine but a collective narrative shared with countless Disney lovers around the world.
