Weight is not always what you ate

We often tend to think gaining weight is only in the form of water, fat, or muscle. Sometimes we can cause our body to gain weight through life and how we choose to experience things.

• Birth control is a group 1 carcinogen, meaning our government KNOWNS that it WILL cause cancer to the human body. That should be enough to make you not want to put that type of stuff into your body alone. Also once coming off of BC, depending how long you’ve been on it, your body is going to need to flush all of those toxins out over time. You could help it by taking natural detoxes.

• Stress ✨ and depression 🙌🏽 were like my best friends for a while and became my soulmates after my car wreck. This caused me to gain weight RAPIDLY! It’s like my body started to hold EVERYTHING in. Emotions, water, food, EVERYTHING! My stomach was HUGE! Causing me to look almost pregnant on the left.

• Processed foods were convenient, especially since depression had me lacking the will to cook. I was eating fast food and a lot of easy “to-go” type meals. Convenience is the root of weight gain.

• Expectations are the roots of depression. Being in a situation where I had to depend on others to get around because I didn’t have a car quickly showed me that my expectations for others were nonexistent because they would never be met. Not because people were being rude but because people had & have their own sht going on & everyone doesn’t have their sht together the way I thought or believe they do in my mind.

• Inflammation became my new friend for a while after the car wreck and of course my mental health was not helping. My body being in such an unfamiliar state of pain, shock, anxiety, etc. just caused my body to pretty much go INSANE!

But eventually I realized I had to do something or I was going to kill myself or drive myself insane. Slowly but diligently I started to reground myself and restrengthen my faith. I stopped expecting anything from others and only expected things of myself. I started fasting to allow my body to recover and heal. Knowing our body’s have all the natural components it needs to heal itself, we must provide it the proper habitat to do so. As time went on I started journaling, created myself a schedule, I went to church, school, and the gym and created myself a daily grounding routine. Within a year, I was able to create the machine/body I have on the right. 💪🏽 You can create anything or even make yourself look any way you’d like, but you must first change your mindset & that will be the beginning of changing your life. Everything must first happen in the mind. 🧠🫶🏽

... Read moreWeight gain is influenced by numerous factors beyond just diet, including stress and mental health. Conditions such as depression can lead to unhealthy eating habits, particularly an increase in processed foods, which are high in sugar and unhealthy fats. Further, birth control has been recognized as a potential contributor to weight changes due to hormonal fluctuations. To counteract these challenges, exploring natural detox options and adopting mindful eating practices can help mitigate inflammation and promote overall wellness. Fast foods and quick meals may seem convenient, but they can contribute to water retention and overall weight gain. Journaling and other grounding practices encourage self-reflection and establish healthier routines. By recognizing and addressing these underlying issues, individuals can take steps towards better physical and mental health, paving the way for sustainable weight loss and self-empowerment.
