First apartment rent transparency💸🩷

As far as first apartments go, I really like mine. It’s a bit more than i wanted to spend on an apartment living by myself but I make it work.

How did i find it: On rent.com. I have a boxer bulldog and most apartment complexes have very strict dog restrictions that prevented him from going there. There’s not a lot of apartment complexes in upstate new york that don’t have dog restrictions and I was really lucky to find mine.

The only things I really don’t like about my complex is that there’s a lot of carpeting, it’s a bit far from my job, and the service isn’t the best. I also live in a building that’s hidden from the main parking lot so delivery drivers can’t ever find me. I usually end up walking around outside for awhile giving them directions to where I am.

But i absolutely love having all of my utilities aside from National Grid already included in my rent. It makes paying my bills monthly so much easier!!

... Read moreFinding your first apartment can be both exciting and challenging, especially when you have specific needs like pet accommodations. Many renters face restrictions in their search, but platforms like rent.com make the process easier. In this article, we explore essential tips for first-time renters, particularly those with pets, and how to assess the full cost of living in an apartment. One of the biggest advantages in this experience was discovering an apartment that includes utilities in the rent. This feature simplifies budgeting and ensures fewer unexpected costs each month. When searching for apartments, make sure to clarify what amenities and services are included with your rent. For instance, understanding pet rent or extra fees for utilities can help you make an informed decision. Additionally, consider the proximity to workplaces and local amenities when finalizing your apartment choice. A location that is slightly farther away might be worth it if it offers unique advantages like a dog park or a pet-friendly policy. It’s also important to evaluate maintenance services, as prompt responses can make your living experience significantly more enjoyable. Lastly, utilizing hashtags related to your rental experience, such as #renttransparency, #firstapartment, or #girlapartment can help you connect with a community of fellow renters who can share their insights and support. This communal aspect can provide valuable advice and help ease the transition into living independently.

I think your apartment is the first one that I’ve seen in New York that seems worth it. It’s very expensive up there, so I think you got a good one. Your apartment is super cute too!!!!
