God doesn’t do Next He does New

I just attended the Passion conference in Atlanta this past weekend and OH MY GOODNESS. God truly met us. Heaven came down to earth. It was absolutely indescribable. His presence was so overwhelming that the worship leaders would often just kneel in awe and couldn’t sing as 55,000 young adults sang in worship to our King Jesus. Theres nothing like worshipping together. You get this feeling like yes this is what I was created for.
I first attended the conference in 2023 when God pulled me out of a lukewarm Christian season. He broke me down so much in the glory of His presence it was so overwhelming. So in 2024 it was of course incredible and life changing, but I was curious “Lord why isn’t this going the same as last year?”
And the conference ended with Christine Caine and it was such a powerful message. She said God doesn’t do next He does new. We have to stop looking at past things expecting God to move in the same way He did in a different season. We are in a new season for God to move powerfully and strongly in a new way that will show His glory even better!
It clicked in that moment. Of course it’s not going to feel the same. God served His purpose for me to come back to Him in 2023 and Passion in 2024 is growing me and preparing me into a new season.
If you find yourself wondering why you haven’t been hearing from God. Take a step back. Are you limiting God to how you think you used to hear Him? Find new ways to see what the Lord is doing in your life and thank Him for all he’s done!
