The wash cycle was only 25 minutes…………. And at these prices, why don’t they take tap yet?
Visiting the laundromat often brings a mix of convenience and frustration. Recently, I noticed that the wash cycles can be quite short—just 25 minutes in some machines. This is great when you’re in a rush, but you might wonder if such a quick cycle is as effective in cleaning heavy laundry loads compared to longer cycles. From personal experience, shorter wash times work well for lightly soiled clothes but might not suffice for stubborn stains or bulkier items. Another point that stood out during my visit was the payment system. In today’s digital world, it's surprising how many laundromats still don’t accept tap-to-pay options like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Many customers, myself included, find this inconvenient because relying solely on coins or older card machines can slow down the process and even deter people from using the service. The prices at laundromats tend to be on the higher side, so adding outdated payment methods feels like a downgrade in service quality. If you frequently use laundromats, consider bringing exact change just in case tap payments are not accepted. Some laundromats have started upgrading their machines for contactless payments, which is a welcome improvement. In the meantime, sharing this information can help fellow users prepare better and make the most of their laundromat trips. Also, knowing about the wash cycle times allows you to plan your laundry day more effectively, balancing between speed and cleaning needs.
