things i still struggle with at 25
there’s this idea that you have to have it all together and even now, that’s not true. many of these things leave such a heaviness on my chest. it feels like a constant cycle of trying and failing and trying again. but ultimately, it’s just about that. trying. grocery stores may be forever stimulating but i found nose cancelling headphones to ease the intensity. i still struggle with reading when i used to love it but that has only pushed me to slowly build my capacity again.
it may not always be perfect but as long as you’re trying
Many young adults in their 20s grapple with various challenges, often feeling the weight of societal expectations. Among these, emotional regulation can be particularly tough, especially as individuals strive for independence and self-identity. Finding a consistent routine, whether it’s maintaining healthy eating habits or budgeting effectively, can be daunting. Strategies like utilizing tools for planning and engaging in mindfulness practices can make a significant difference. Additionally, re-establishing interests, such as reading, is crucial. Despite facing a reading slump, dedicating even a small amount of time daily can help rekindle this passion. Ultimately, the experience of navigating life’s uncertainties encourages growth and resilience, reminding us that progress often comes with trial and error.
